Chaplains

Staff Chaplains are highly trained ministers from different spiritual and religious backgrounds. Their job is to provide spiritual care to patients, Staff and employees. Chaplains are on call 24 hours a day to serve patients and families in need of immediate counseling, guidance and support. Referral service is offered as needed.


Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)  -  Application

Clergy, seminary students and lay persons from different denominations practice hospital-based pastoral skills under the guidance of trained chaplains.

CPE Summer Intensive and Ext Admission Requirements
Applicants will have completed or be in the process of completing a Masters of Divinity or equivalent such as Masters in Religious Education, Pastoral Care or Pastoral Counseling. Applications will also be received from committed lay persons. Selected applicants will be interviewed by the CPE supervisor of the center.

CPE Residency Admission Requirements
Applicants will have completed a Masters of Divinity or equivalent, one unit of CPE, and be ordained and/or endorsed from their denomination. Applications will also be received from committed lay persons. Selected applicants will be interviewed by the Professional Consultation Committee of the CPE center.

The center offers confidential support, counseling and growth seminars from a Christian perspective to all persons. It also specializes in clergy of all denominations.

Grief Recovery

This ongoing support group offers support to those who have lost family members and friends through death. Group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7 - 8:30 p.m. For information call (937) 395-8640.
