Program Description

The Grandview EM residency program strives to produce competent, compassionate physicians who have achieved excellence in clinical practice, academic pursuits, and service to their community. Excellent clinical skills will grow from the resident’s active involvement in an ED that offers a large and diverse patient population and residency programs in the specialties relevant to EM training. Academic achievement of residents, both in teaching and research, will develop through mentoring by EM faculty. The residency program encourages resident research interest in both the clinical and basic sciences.

We are committed to creating an environment where the highest standards of emergency medical care are consistently taught, practiced, and monitored. We are determined to focus on important social, ethical, behavioral, and organizational aspects of emergency health care. All Emergency Department personnel are encouraged to participate in the ongoing process of education. The opportunity for sharing emergency medical educational resources within the Osteopathic community in the state of Ohio is fostered through the CORE (Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education). Through the CORE residents, are able to participate along with other Osteopathic Emergency Medicine Residents across the state of Ohio in a monthly day-long lecture series.
