Fred Manchur
President and CEO,
Kettering Health Network
Manchur moved into the position of CEO in December 2010. He has strategic, policy and governance responsibilities for Kettering Health Network
and its affiliates, including its seven Network hospitals, 60 satellite health centers and Network joint ventures. Fred previously served with great distinction
as president of Kettering and Sycamore Medical Centers, and as KHN executive vice president and president. He has been very instrumental to the exceptional
growth of KMC in recent years.
Francisco J. Perez, FACHE
CEO Emeritus, Kettering Health Network
Perez served as chief executive officer, served as CEO for 16 ½ years, and moved into a CEO-Emeritus position in December 2010. He provides assistance to the KHN leadership through May 15, 2011 when he will officially retire. He continues to enthusiastically support innovative use of information technology to improve efficiency and communication in health care and to provide patients with better access to medical information.

Roy Chew, PhD
Executive Vice President,
Kettering Health Network
President, Kettering Medical Center
Chew serves as the Executive Vice President for Kettering Health Network in addition to serving as President of Kettering Medical Center.
He brings a comprehensive network perspective to system development, growth and strategic goals. Prior to this, Dr.
Chew served as president of Grandview and Southview Medical Centers for 10 years, leading them to
extraordinary achievements. During his tenure, Grandview gained more national awards for quality and
safety than all others in Ohio, and experienced significant increases in patient and staff
satisfaction. Dr. Chew is one of the most respected community leaders in the Dayton area.
Richard Haas
President, Grandview Medical Center
Haas became president of Grandview and Southview Medical Centers in February 2009. As senior
executive officer for Sycamore Medical Center for eight years, he directed significant growth that
improved the facilities, patient satisfaction, clinical quality, employee satisfaction, and
relationships with the medical staff and surrounding communities. Richard has led many major
construction and renovation projects that have contributed to the growth of the Network.
Mark Smith
President, Sycamore Medical Center
Mark Smith was named President of Sycamore Medical Center campus in February of 2011. Prior to this, he served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer
of Greene Memorial Hospital. Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln, NE, an acute care cardiovascular specialty
hospital with $65 million in net revenue. He served as Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) during a four-month search for a full time CEO. Mr. Smith co-founded
an accounting practice specializing in small business entity formation, tax consulting, and business planning. For eight years, he has served as Associate Professor
of Accounting and Business Law at Union College in Lincoln, NE teaching classes in accounting, finance and business law. As an Associate Attorney, he practiced in the
areas of commercial law, taxation, and worker's compensation. Mr. Smith earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Nebraska and a Bachelor of Science,
Accounting from Union College.
Russell J. Wetherell
President, Southview Medical Center
Wetherell became President of the Southview Medical Center campus in June 2011 and has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare and financial administration. Wetherell previously served as Chief Financial Officer for seven of the 16 years he has been with Kettering Health Network. Other past positions include Vice President for Finance/Operations and Chief Financial Officer for Grandview and Southview Hospitals as well as Chief Operating Officer of Kettering Medical Center Physicians. Wetherell gained valuable leadership and financial experience while holding various financial positions in the publishing industry and academic field. He earned his bachelor's in business administration from Columbia Union College and his MBA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Wetherell holds fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Gregory C. Henderson
President, Greene Memorial Hospital
Henderson became President of Greene Memorial Hospital in February 2009. He served as Senior Executive Officer and Vice President
for Plant Engineering and Construction for the Southview Medical Center campus. He was liaison for the State of Ohio and
initiated many significant programs including the Joslin Diabetes Center. Henderson was previously Chief Operating Officer
of San Joaquin Community Hospital, a 178-bed facility in Bakersfield, CA, and Vice President of Clinical
and Support Services and Director of Cardiac Services, Radiology, Endoscopy and Imaging Services. He earned a master’s in Healthcare
Administration from LaVerne University, CA and a bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration and Education from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
Henderson serves on many community organization boards and is a past-president of the Diabetes Association of the Dayton area.
He holds fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Jennifer Swenson
President, Fort Hamilton Hospital
Swenson was named President of Fort Hamilton Hospital in November 2010. She brings more than 17 years experience in healthcare finance and administration.
Swenson served as the chief operating officer at St. Helena Hospital in Clearlake, California since May 2009. Prior to that, she was vice president for finance at St. Helena Hospital.
Her business insight, relationship skills and diligence to the hospital’s mission resulted in great advances that not only included financial improvement, but also significant quality
enhancement and the development of a new ED.
